With raising money the aim, and football the game, musicians, moxologists and club crooners alike will be taking part in this year's Trof Trophy. A sixteen team tournament with only one band of merry grass stained men taking home the gong, Trof Trophy is not only a chance for some of the city's finest to flaunt their corner kicks, its a fundraising affair at its core. Taking place this July 13th at the Ardwick Powerleague, Trof Trophy aims to raise £1000 for The Lifeline Project, with the likes of Deaf Institute, Band on the Wall, Dutch Uncles, Warehouse Project and Hoya Hoya in tow.
Not only raising funds for a fantastic cause, The Deaf Institute will continue on the footie fun with a post-tournament party from 6pm, live screening of the World Cup final from 8pm, a Trof Trophy quiz and more. A great chance for bar men to limber up, a gracious cause to be heralded and for Manchester to gather round, head on down from 3pm onwards.
