Holidays are coming! Holidays are coming! The Coca Cola advert has been released, John Lewis also have a cracking advert out... it's official, Christmas is nigh.
Spinningfields has always been known to deliver at Christmas time, and this year they are upping the ante with a whole Snow Season between the 8th November and 5th January in Hardman Square. With their famously festive outdoor ice skating rink returning again this year, late night shopping, Santa letter-writing and cosy winter pop-up bars, Spinningfields will be transformed into Manchester's North Pole.
The Avenue, Manchester's location for high end shopping, will be opening its doors to late night shoppers, meaning your Christmas shopping can carry on into the night in super-class designer stores such as Emporio Armani, Mulberry, Prada, Gucci and many more. The ice rink will be returning to The Lawns, and will be sandwiched between two of the festive pop up bars adorning the area: The Long Bar and Hibernate. You can expect some top-of-the-range mulled wine and spiced winter ciders whilst you engage in some friendly merriment and watch the flocks of scarf and woolly hat wearers bumble around on the slippery ice. The Oast House Teepee is also returning for the festive season and will be bringing you timeless yuletide entertainments such as Christmas Carol singers and a heart-warming performance from the Halle Orchestra!
The Snow Season offers wintery wonders for all the family including a postbox station where you can write and send your letters to the North Pole in good time for Christmas day. Each letter costs £1 to send, with all the proceeds going to children's charity Brainwave. Each letter will receive a reply, so, we reckon it's the quickest and most reliable way to reach Santa this Christmas. Ice skating tickets range from £4 to £9 and can be bought online with no additional booking fee, with discounted family tickets. Being the only ice skating rink in the city centre, you'd be a Scrooge not to visit it this Crimbo. Or, if ice-skating isn't your thing, you could always have a go on the helter skelter or the other rides in the area!
We're dreaming of a white Christmas, and even if it doesn't snow this winter, Spinningfields' Snow Season is sure to deliver it.
