Book in to experience their omakase six-course tasting menu for £75 per person, where you'll get to try out a broad range of specially curated dishes such as the gyoza tacos with truffle chilli dressing, and the mouth-watering grilled lobster. There's even a vegetarian version available for not-so-carnivorous customers. It's certainly worth the hype.
MUSU
A contemporary Japanese restaurant, MUSU, is a Manchester city centre favourite. Showcasing the very best East Asian cuisine, their tasting menu allows you to try four distinct cooking styles commonly used in Japan: Edomae, Izakaya, Teppan and Kaiseki. With prices starting from £130 per person, you can choose up to 11 courses - their white chocolate dessert with soy milk tuille is an absolute winner.
63 Degrees
No need to trek to Paris when you've got 63 degrees on your doorstep. This is the ultimate French fine dining spot. Not only do they boast mouth-watering Parisian cocktails and champagnes of every variety (of course), but they also offer a five-course tasting menu for just £48 per person. From 5.30pm every Tuesday, you can enjoy everything from stuffed salmon to the perfect crème brûlée. The whole experience is très magnifique.
Mana
Why not visit Mana, Manchester's only Michelin Star restaurant owned by renowned chef Simon Martin, formerly of Copenhagen's three Michelin-starred venue, Noma. With a capacity of just 30 people, you can expect an intimate dining experience where between 12 and 18 plates will be served in quick succession. Indulge in everything from the finest seafood dishes to deliciously tender meats for just £95 per person. Everything is made from fresh British produce that highlights the best culinary experience the UK has to offer.
Adam Reid At The French
Ever wanted to be wined and dined by a celeb? Here's your chance (kind of). Book in to try the tasting menu at The French for £145 per person, created by the restaurant's chef-patron Adam Reid - AKA the winner of the Great British Menu and four AA Rosettes. In true Northern style, you'll begin the meal with bread, butter and broth before tucking into fish pie and cracker sandwiches. There's even tipsy cake for dessert.
Where The Light Gets In
Working directly with farmers and fishermen to curate the perfect British dishes, Where the Light Gets In is one to put on your foodie bucket list. Located in Stockport in Greater Manchester, you can enjoy surprise dishes from their ever-evolving tasting menu for just £65 per person. Their sustainable efforts, such as growing natural ingredients on their farm, led to them achieving the Michelin Green Star.
Six by Nico
Get ready for something spectacular. Six by Nico never disappoints when it comes to their ever-changing tasting menus. They've featured a menu based on Tokyo with delicious chicken karaage, tempura and miso sea bass ramen, an entire six courses dedicated to street food and even a funfair-themed spread. Better yet, these one-of-a-kind experiences start at just £39 per person.
Skof
The first solo venture from chef Tom Barnes, of head chef at Simon Rogan's L'Enclume fame, Skof is a fine dining restaurant boasting meticulously crafted British dishes that are too good to resist. It's located within a Grade II-listed space and fronting bare-brick walls and minimalist interiors, and the tasting menus come in two lengths (twelve courses for £120 and fifteen for £165) as well as a set lunch affair priced at £50 a head. Look forward to devouring confit Sladesdown duck served with fig leaf, dexter beef bavette and Orkney scallops across the board.
Tender
Fronting elegant, towering walls and grand decor thanks to its Stock Exchange Hotel spot, Tender is the renowned restaurant of one of the UK's youngest two Michelin star chefs Niall Keating. Since being awarded this status at The Dining Room at Whatley Manor Hotel, he's now guiding a memorable gourmet dining experience that evokes the senses at this gorgeous haunt. The chef's lunch menu is available from Wednesday through to Saturday featuring two courses for £29.50 and three of £38.50. The star of the show is dinner, where nine courses, including confit Loch Duart salmon with wasabi mayonnaise and a salted caramel tart, come to £115 per head.
Orme
Orme is a bright and airy restaurant that can be found perched on Church Road serving ethical and sustainable British fine dining taster menus. Contemporary in design but rock and roll in spirit thanks to its indie music soundtrack, it makes for a fantastic dinner destination if you're looking to devour seasonal food in a no-frills environment. The six-course menu comes in at £55 each and includes moreish plates of Scottish scallops with roasted onion, Schezuan treacle tart and blossom coffee tiramisu, all of which can be enjoyed with meticulous wine pairings.
