This week saw the sad closure of proud Manchester boozers Lass O'Gowrie. The award-winning pub closed its doors on Monday after its management, following a long dispute, parted company Lass' brewery owners. Cries of anger echoed around this great city of ours, as the people rallied to show their support and anguish on social media at such a long standing Manchester institution bowing out after a such a stellar 2013.
The Lass 'o' Gowrie will serve pints once again, opening in February after a revamp.
Fear not though, Lass O'Gowrie will re-open its doors in February and come back bigger, stronger and better looking than ever! An ale lovers destination that will now not only house the usual selection of hearty local ales, but will be given a brand new locally sourced food menu to accompany it. The Greene King brewery have appointed new management at the helm, and by the looks of things want to give the listed pub the new lease of life it well and truly deserves. We can't wait till February comes and the famous doors are open again.
We'll see you there... the first rounds on you.
