What’s more magical than Christmas: laughing children, presents for all, drinking Advocaat for the first and only time that year; nothing quite tops it. Well, how about an actual magical forest wonderland filled with snow and tipis outside Old Tradfford? Yeah, I’d say that’s a bit more magical.
Hinterland is popping up for three days this December, taking over a two-acre plot of land and coating it all with artificial snow. There’s ten giant tipis where an immersive artic dining experience will be hosted, complete with a two-course Christmas dinner and welcome drinks. You can also hire them privately for a minimum of 15 people, with access to the VIP area that has a fire, food and entertainment.
Speaking of entertainment, the Northern Lights bar will host DJs and live bands, complimented by light shows inspired by, well, the Northern Lights. And if you want to get a bit weird, you can dip into their wood-fired hot tub. But don't take too long to decide you're going to escape to this little bit of winter paradise: it’s only open for three days. Hinterland already sounds 100% better than Christmas shopping
Hinterland is open from 6th to 8th December at Waterside, Manchester, M17 1WD. Tickets start at £25pp.
