Out of all the best bars in the Northern Quarter, Hula is the one for DJ and club nights. This den of flaming cocktails and other tiki vibes is renowned for its party atmosphere, or the opportunity to dance the evening away with a drink in hand.
If it's Northern Quarter bars and clubs that you're after, Twenty Twenty Two is home to a hot underground scene. Past DJs to grace the decks include Norman Jay, Horse Meat Disco, Justin Robertson and Psychemajik - perfect for an unpretentious night out with great music.
Tucked in the basement of this popular Northern Quarter watering hole is an intimate gig venue and nightclub. With raw, stripped back decor, neon lighting and some of the best underground DJs or club nights around, Soup Kitchen is easily one of the coolest alternative spots.
Located at the top of Oldham Street, Mint Lounge is one of the most popular clubs in Manchester because it's home the city's longest running night out. Funkademia attracts a fun-seeking crowd to fill the dance floor every Saturday.
This might not be your traditional Northern Quarter Manchester club, but Matt and Phreds is definitely a gem. A haven of all things jazz, this venue offers the chance to stumble on live music, from folk and gypsy to salsa, swing, ska and more, all in a party atmosphere.
