As one of Manchester's four, traditional family brewers, Joseph Holt is rich in history.
Find out more about the brewery's incredible past at this special talk and tasting organised for Manchester Beer Week.
Established in 1849 by its founder - unsurprisingly named Joseph Holt - the son of a weaver from Unsworth, the brewery is still going strong almost 170 years later. It moved into its current home, off Cheetham Hill Road, in 1860 and is capable of producing up to 500 barrels of beer a day.
Join the current brewers from Joseph Holt to learn more about its history and to be guided on a tasting through its current beers.
And best of all, it's free! However, ticket-holders will be asked to consider giving a donation to Joseph Holt's chosen charity Maggie's.

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
