Description
Favela is a South American-inspired restaurant in Manchester's Deansgate.
Styled as a characterful joint in the heart of Rio De Janeiro's pop-up city, the restaurant focuses on delivering exquisite rotisserie meats, mouth-watering steaks and fantastic ceviche dishes. The interiors take inspiration from Manchester’s history with this former industrial relic, with broad steel columns, original floor boards and antique machinery all over the place. There’s a bit of an exotic South American twist, though, with plants and vines climbing walls and hanging plants beside the disco balls. Expect to find a lot of neon too.
The food menu takes influence from the multi-cultural history of Brazil, using its flavours and vibrancy. Alongside your classic tacos, burritos and wraps, expect to find meaty and seafood skewers, street bites and stews. As for drinks, expect a rum-lead menu, along with cocktails, beers and wines. Music and food go hand-in-hand here too, so expect weekly live music and DJ nights.
