Description
Sister site to the heralded Sticky Walnut in Chester, Hispi is the hotly anticipated bistro opened up by Gary Usher in Didsbury.
You’ll first notice Hispi for its distinctive olive-green walls, which beckon foodie fans inside to a wonderfully homely and inviting ground floor dining space. There’s further seating upstairs, where guests can pull up a pew on the mezzanine level which looks out upon the dining room below.
Hispi strives to create a welcoming feel more reminiscent of someone’s home than a restaurant, and it’s the ideal spot to come for relaxed lunches or a hearty plate of comfort food at dinner time. The lunch menu offers 2 courses for £16 or 3 for £19 - superb value for money given the expertise of head chef Richard Sharples - and diners can tuck into the likes of Gressingham duck breast, chargrilled mackerel and some innovative veggie options, with a few fan favourites from Sticky Walnut included on the menu.
