What they say:
Sister site to the much-loved Sticky Walnut in Chester, Hispi is a homely and inviting new bistro brought to Didsbury by Gary Usher. Styled more as someone’s house than a restaurant, the two-storey restaurant features a open, relaxed dining room and further space on a mezzanine level upstairs. Hispi promises an innovative take on comfort food that is as delicious as it is affordable (get 3 courses for just £19 at lunch time), with head chef Richard Sharples cooking up Hispi exclusives as well as a few favourites from Sticky Walnut.
What we say:
Hispi is nothing short of a fantastic new addition to Manchester’s foodie scene, which brings high quality meat and fish dishes as well as interesting veggie based options at pocket-friendly rates. This is an open new hangout for a relaxed lunch or a date night and the team at Hispi recognise that they wouldn’t be here today without crowdfunding; look out for the huge mirror with names of their contributors inscribed in the frame.
