Description
El Taquero brings tacos and tequila cocktails to the Northern Quarter.
Taking the space of Bouncing Czech and Montpellier’s, this restaurant bar features a range of Mexican flourishes, from vibrant colours and fabrics sourced from the country itself to a ‘living wall’ on the first floor, creating a more rustic feel to the venue. There’s also artwork sourced from Mexico too, along with a full size neon cactus and Latino tunes in the background.
El Taquero focuses mainly on tacos and quesadillas, with fillings including everything from pork carnitas to smoked chicken and house-made Mexican chorizo. There’s also be a number of vegetarian options and weekly specials, that give a twist on the classic concept. With the décor inspired by the Taquerias of Mexico, it’s only natural that the drinks are too, featuring tequila based cocktails like margaritas sold by the glass or carafe, as well as Mexican beers.
