It sounds almost too gouda to be true, but grilled cheese extraordinaires Northern Soul are opening a new venture in the Northern Quarter.
The restaurant will still be serving up its signature toasties, along with gooey mac ‘n’ cheese and nachos, but will extend to a 'bigger and badder' menu including breakfast specials. Having made waves for elevating the humble sarnie to super-stacked creations of honey-roasted ham, juicy Southern-fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork, these guys are sure to serve some pretty bodacious early-morning offerings.
Northern Soul will be housed on Tib Street, and features 70-covers with an outdoor terrace perfect for summer boozing with their very first alcohol licence. For those still hoping to grab-and-go, the original Church Street location and the newer site on Piccadillly Approach will continue to operate as before.
