Coming in hot from the capital, Franco Manca is bringing its signature selection of sourdough pizza to Manchester for the first time ever. Having begun life as a single shop in London's Brixton Market, this latest venue will potentially by the 48th pizzeria from the brand, whose nationwide expansion has seen them go from South London upstart to country-sprawling franchise.

Setting up shop in a former Lloyds Bank just off Piccadilly Gardens, the new pizzeria will offer space for up to 130 guests over two storeys with an additional basement and bar area on top. As for what the hordes will be enjoying, Franco Manca specialises in slow-rising sourdough pizza and top-notch toppings sourced from Italy, Spain and even Yorkshire, from simple tomato pizzas to hefty specials including Cornish cured ham and tomato and olive and Cantabrian anchovy options.
