To Asif Ali and the Scene team, dining out is about way more than just great food. He’s striving to cultivate a multi-sensory experience with his new venture, with an open-plan kitchen allowing the sights, sounds and smells to drift through the room. Authentic sub-continent street food will be the staple, and there’s plenty of tasty alcoholic options to wash it all down with.
What we say:
Pouncing on a gap in the market, Scene will become the first Indian jaunt in Spinningfields in early 2015. Ali’s experience of travelling around the sub-continent should ensure we’re sinking our teeth into something authentic, and with an outdoor space very much in the pipeline it looks good for some alfresco action in the warmer months.
