The Espy is a pub, cocktail bar and event space within the Hotel Esplanade in St Kilda. One of the most popular places for live music in Melbourne, the venue boasts 12 bars, three stages and two restaurants across six levels.
The iconic 140 year-old building is recognisable by its large white exterior, massive windows and retractable roof on the upper levels, making it a stunning place for sun tanning and weekend brunches, with cocktails and tap beer being the focus when night falls. Meanwhile, the stunning outdoor terrace offers views of the city, making it a must for the warmer months.
If you're hungry, make way for The Espy Kitchen, where you'll be able to watch bands walk to the green room through a glass-walled corridor. The menu here is designed to be shared, and showcases the the very best seasonal, local produce as well as pub staples like the classic Sunday roast. Example dishes include 300g Altair wagyu flank, BBQ market fish and cured kingfish which can washed down with house mixes, glasses of wine and a selection of curated craft brews.
