The Head of Steam Quayside

Check out The Head of Steam Quayside for a huge selection of craft beers and views of the river. Located by the famous Tyne bridge, this cool pub offers all sorts of activity options too, like shuffleboard, foosball and pool tables - perfect if you're after gaming bars in Newcastle for adults.

Billy Bootleggers Newcastle

Throughout the week, you'll find live performances as well as the sweet sound of country, rockabilly and R&B music at Billy Bootleggers in Ouseburn. Swing by this quirky haunt to discover walls laced with vintage American memorabilia and menus packed with all sorts of iced teas. You'll even find some special moonshine up the sipping, such as Billy's Famous Apple Pie.

The Forth

Searching for bars with entertainment in Newcastle upon Tyne? The Forth on Pink Lane hosts regular quiz nights where you can test out your trivia knowledge, as well as an extensive street food menu including fried chicken and juicy burgers.

Hancock

Right on the cusp between Jesmond and the city centre, the Hancock is a great shout for live sport, pool and a great meal. There are screens dotted about the venue for all the big games, which you can view while enjoying a refreshing pint or classic cocktail.

NQ64 Newcastle

Open until 2am most nights, you'll never be strapped for things to do at NQ64 Newcastle. The retro arcade bar is home to over 31 activities to get stuck into from Guitar Hero to Time Crisis. You'll find plenty of nostalgia in this neon-splattered den, as well as themed cocktails that look very good on the ol' Instagram. Our favourites? Metropolis, made with gin and Aperol, and the Power Star Martini, served short and fruity.
