Description
Named in the Michelin Guide for 2022, Khai Khai is a high-end Indian restaurant in Newcastle, located close to the Quayside. Their food is expertly prepared using fire and smoke in the traditional way, with a menu that celebrates the rich culture and history of India.
Their dishes are designed to invoke nostalgia, taking every possible step to prepare their meals in an authentic fashion. They use hot stones, coals and wood fires to achieve this, with dishes ranging from chickpea chaat to beef vindaloo or Old Delhi butter chicken.
They have a real focus on sustainability here too, using local, seasonal and organic produce where possible. While the story of each plate comes from India, their ingredients are largely UK-based.
