An all-new Indian concept restaurant has launched in the heart of Nottingham. Split into two areas for greater variety, Burra-Khana is housed just above American eatery Red Dog Saloon, offering a very different dining experience to its neighbour.
Inspired by the vibrant flavours of Delhi and Jaipur, then blending them with Middle Eastern cooking techniques, the restaurant's emphasis is on creating sharing dishes (the clue is in the name, Burra-Khana translates to 'big feast' in Hindi). Against a backdrop of bold interiors, guests can chomp on BBQ butter chicken wings, goan tiger king prawns, and kati rolls. There’s also curries like the South Indian delicacy malabar fish, paneer saag, a traditional Indo-Pakistani offering, and plenty of sides.
If you're looking to stay authentic with your drinks choices, lassis and masala chais are a go-to, with Persian sharabats to finish off the dining adventure. There is also a choice of signature cocktails and mocktails utilising Indian botanical ingredients.
