Kapital - Opening Early 2025

Coming right to the heart of the city, Kapital is a European-inspired beer hall that's set to open some time in early 2025. This is set to be one of the city's largest food and drink destinations, providing locals with tank-fresh, unpasteurised, Czech beer for the very first time. There'll also be a range of brews from Brussels, Pilsen, Prague, and Munich, so there's something for everyone here.
It's not just the drinks that we're excited about through, as they're also promising a tasty selection of European street food, as well as regular live entertainment. And to celebrate the opening? They're giving away 1525 free pints to those who sign up - one for every kilometre between here and the cellars in Czechia where their beer is produced.

Burger & Sauce - Open Now

After the success of their locations in Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Coventry, Liverpool and beyond, Burger & Sauce have decided to bring their goods to Sheffield. The city centre venues opened its doors in late February, with people lining up to enter right from the first weekend.
They're open all afternoon and evening, every single day of the week. You can enjoy handmade beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers, both classic and topped with delicious flavours like nacho cheese or barbecue sauce. They also serve tasty wraps, chicken strips and saucy loaded fries.

Groke - Open Now

Taking over the site of Craft & Dough pizzeria, Groke Cafe opened in February 2025. This independent, dog-friendly coffee shop is the passion project of coffee veteran Tom Stentiford, who's aiming to change the way this industry works. He's committed to helping his staff work their way up in the company, promising a bonus scheme where the team is rewarded for hitting their targets - so everyone benefits from the business.
It's not just the staff that are cared for here though, as they're also all about sustainability and ethical produce. They're partnering with Extract Coffee Roasters, who are committed to sustainable farming, and they'll only be selling seasonal produce. Expect plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, alongside coffee-infused cocktails.

Six And A Half - Open Now
- Address: 6½ Dyson Place, off Sharrow Vale Road, S11 8XX
Brought to you by former Brocco on the Park head chef Leslie Buddington, Six and a Half is a brand new addition to Dyson Place. Everything here is cooked over wood by Leslie himself, and you can even catch a glimpse of the chefs working from their counter seating. This is an intimate relaxed space, with an outdoor terrace to dine on as well as the cosy interiors.
They're embracing bold flavours from all over the world, using top-quality ingredients. The plates are designed to be shared, ranging from harissa venison haunch to roasted leeks with smoked cheddar - and their signature dish is the grass-fed, salt-aged porterhouse steak for two. As for drinks, expect a small but well thought out list of wines.

Crave - Open Now

Looking for new restaurants on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield? Then you're in luck, as Crave Cafe has been around since the end of January 2025. It was set up by husband-and-wife duo Ilayda and Berke Aliyazıcıoğlu, who are both passionate about providing the city with great quality Turkish food and coffee.
The welcoming venue is filled with bright red decor, complemented with comfy booth seating and paintings lining the walls. While they cook Turkish dishes like fried eggs with sujuk, you'll also find some more British staples on the menu - think full English breakfasts and mozzarella toasties. Everything is homemade, with most dishes coming in at under a tenner, and they sell fresh pastries too.
Expect a warm welcome at Crave Cafe.
