The new 3.6 hectare centre will have something for everyone.
After making serious waves in Melbourne, the world-leading surf facility, URBNSURF, is set to arrive in Sydney’s Olympic Park next summer. With Wavegarden’s ground-breaking tide generating technology and LED lagoon lights, enthusiasts will able to get a killer surf day and night. But don’t worry if you’re a newbie, as the state-of-the-art site will offer comprehensive training programmes for all levels. Forgot your wet suit? The exciting addition will also boast a fully equipped rental shop for all of your watersport needs, not to mention different areas for shortboard, longboard, bodyboard and even kneeboarding.
Expect gorgeous landscaping that reflects the natural elements of the city’s coastline, with palm trees and clear blue water. And if that wasn’t enough, Sydneysiders will be able to make use of adjoining the leisure pool, skate park and luxurious hot tubs. Just want to sit back and watch the action? Then relax in one of their vibrant beach cabanas with a sando from the café or with a beer at their rooftop bar.
