A versatile dining room on the first floor infamously known as The Gin Library due to offering over 150 gins, beautifully restored offering a private bar and roof terrace for hire throughout the week and weekends. Host an intimate dinner party or reception here allowing you privacy away from the main floor.

Depending on your choice of seating arrangement, a maximum capacity of 40 people seated for a formal dinner across 4 tables or standing accommodate up to 80 people informally. including a heated, covered roof terrace available for your event.

The Sun Chefs have created four varied menus catering for all tastes and dietary requirements, from canapés to five-course fine dining, to tea parties or a host-your-own-roast. Head Chef Gary can discuss any preferences you have in mind. Not only provide fantastic seasonal food but great drinks, always arrange your drink tastings after securing your date to help you choose a wine that will match your choice of food, or a bespoke cocktail for that special occasion.

On Sundays, the dining room is available to hire for tables of 30 adults or more who want to “Host their own Roast”. If you would like to have all your friends round for Sunday lunch but don’t want the hassle of all the cooking and cleaning up then why not leave it to The Sun and book the first floor. .

In the summer our stunning roof terrace can be booked for up to 30 people seated across 4 tables, with sofa seats and a relaxed home from home environment. Perfect for the smaller get-together party that you need a separate area but not a full private hire space. There is a minimum pre-order of £100 on food / drink to book the whole terrace for a maximum of 4 hours up to 10pm. All drinks are then available to be ordered on our QR code so you can sit back relax & enjoy your celebration in style.

Our Garden Decking area can be booked for a maximum of 18 people seated across three tables. Ideal for the smaller family and friend gatherings that you wouldn't need a full private hire of our upstairs Gin Library. A fully flexible space for drinks parties to a summer sit down dinner, with a choice of either pre-ordering of our seasonal a-la-carte menu to nibbles and sliders for the table from our party menu.

For tables that are pre-ordering lunch or dinner from our seasonal menu we provide full table service.

There is a required minimum pre-order of £50 on food / drink to book the whole deck for a maximum of 4 hour time slots. 

The Sun Lounge is a converted room in our lower garden, the lower garden is covered by a stretch tent with part shade part sun areas. A perfect hire for smaller groups and parties, the internal room seats 7 to 10 guests across a formal table and sofa seating, with the double doors opening up onto our lower garden. For the larger party size of 10 upwards a reserved area includes a few benches close to the sun lounge. 

The Sun lounge is bookable for 10-30 guests, the converted conservatory and part hire of our lower garden tables. A £50 deposit is required and pre-ordering from our party menu is recommended for food and drink options, any parties of 10 guests upwards would need to pre-order food if wanting to dine either a-la-carte or party food, a minimum of 1 week before the booking date. These are the only tables that are bookable in our garden.
