Brighton: Shelter Hall

Located right on Brighton's seafront, Shelter Hall is a cool bar and market space housed in an old Victorian building. They've got a large outdoor terrace here, boasting a number of pretty igloos where you can look out over the beach while snuggling up in a group of two to eight people.

There's a minimum spend of £25 per person in these cosy dining pods, with seven different independent food vendors to choose from. Pair cocktails or craft beer with a range of tasty dishes, from fried chicken buns to Neapolitan pizzas.

Birmingham: Chaophraya

Decked out with twinkling lights across two floors, Chaophraya on Spiceal Street in the city centre is perfect for any time of year - but even more magical during the festive season.

You can dine under the stars in a private dining dome on the winter terrace with up to eight friends, and savour scrumptious Thai treats like green curies and pad Thais. Wash it all down with one of its signature cocktails, like the gin-based Dragon Eye or the spicy and fruity Ring Of Fire, and you've got yourself a stellar evening.

London: London Secret Garden

Swing by London Secret Garden, part of Doubletree Kensington, for a hidden escape away from the hustle and bustle of South Kensington. This beautiful oasis boasts luscious greenery and stunning views, not to mention five pretty private dining domes.

Dive into brunch, dinner or an afternoon tea. The former is our favourite; complete with white pear and ginger tea, or a delightful citrus camomile to accompany mini raspberry cheesecakes and macarons, it truly is a treat for the eyes and mouth.

UK: MMy Wood Wharf

This winter, why not get snug in an igloo at MMy Wood Wharf with your friends? Their pods can comfortably seat up to ten people. Enjoy a feast from various food vendors offering Middle Eastern cuisine, Indian treats, mouthwatering spring rolls, prawn crackers, and more, all complemented by refreshing drinks.

Swing by for lunch and relish a sharing menu for £35 per person, complete with a glass of wine or a cocktail, served between 12pm and 4pm.

Cambridge: The Three Horseshoes

While the temperatures may have dropped, that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy a little outside dining anymore. Over at The Three Horseshoes (winner of two AA Rosettes) is Cambridge's igloo restaurant where you can drink, eat and have a jolly good time among the stars.

Get toasty among sparkling lights and natural surrounds with your very own pod in the revamped garden, equipped with heating and fantastic table service. On the menu? Elevated gastro classics, like an ox tongue kebab to kick things off, followed by seared scallops with mango salsa, and mushroom ragu for mains.

Essex: Anchor

Essex countryside pub Anchor has a new take on the igloo with their pretty OakPods. Located in Hullbridge on Ferry Road and overlooking the River Crouch, each pod provides an intimate experience for friends and family.
