Quip Shed Comedy is delighted to host its first comedy night at Craftyard in Aylesbury this November! For our inaugural show, we are delighted to have TV's Ahir Shah headlining, with brilliant support from Mark Bittlestone, Sam Picone, and host Lyle Barke!
Mark Bittlestone is rapidly making a name for himself both online and on the UK standup circuit. He has 135k followers on TikTok, and 75k followers on Instagram, while in the real world, he is appearing regularly at the UK’s biggest comedy clubs. He is currently building up for a UK tour of his award-nominated, five-star Edinburgh Fringe debut I Need A Straight Guy “nothing short of brilliant” - One4Review, which played to sold-out crowds at the Pleasance in August 2024. Mark was nominated in the Best Newcomer category for the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2024, did tour support for Eshaan Akbar in 2023, and was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award in 2022.
Described by UK comedy heavyweight Mo Gilligan as “a natural on stage”, Sam Picone is a comedian, writer & content creator; expect sharp observations, delivered with a knowingly dry wit! Sam has written for comedy on Channel 4 and the BBC, as well as racking up tens of millions of views on social media with his viral sketches.
2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Ahir Shah is one of the fastest-rising comedians of his generation and is known for his sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up featuring a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags.
Ahir is a regular on television and radio and has performed
stand-up on Live At The Apollo, The Now Show and Stand Up Central.
Outside of stand up, Ahir has been seen on shows
including Have I Got News For You, QI, Frankie Boyle’s New World
Order, Mock the Week, The Mash Report/Late Night Mash, Guessable,
Rob Beckett’s Undeniable and Catastrophe.
Ahir’s show Dots completely sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe and
toured the UK ahead of an international release on US streaming
platform HBO Max filmed at the Vaudeville Theatre. The show
followed Duffer and Control which also sold out and were both
nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show and
subsequently toured the UK and overseas.
Internationally, Ahir has played to sell out audiences at
the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe
and Just for Laughs Montreal, and has toured in continental Europe
and India. In 2023, Ahir returned to the Edinburgh Fringe
with Ends, his first full run at the festival in 4 years, and which
won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show.
