After a classic country pub in Surrey? Banstead's Kingswood Arms offers the tudor-style exterior, sprawling beer garden, cosy spots by the fire and exposed brick walls to earn such a title. Not only that, but the dining space has been modernised for a wood cabin-like feel and there's regular live music on the roster.
As for the all-important grub, this stunning boozer knows to keep things a British affair, with everything from black pudding rostis topped off by a poached egg to cheese boards, game faggots, lemon sole and burgers making the menu. Our recommendation come dessert? The Nutella twist on a traditional bread and butter pudding, swoon.
