Description
Tucked away in The Old Brewery Yard is gorgeous neighbourhood restaurant Mine. This snug spot boasts original wood tables and wrought iron accents, with furniture spilling out into the cobbled courtyard. The jewel in its crown though is the open kitchen, encouraging a more intimate relationship between diner and chef.
Speaking of chefs; the kitchen here is run by Angus Bell. He trained under Michael Roux Jr. before becoming a founding partner of London restaurant group Le Bab. Turning his eye to Cornwall and aiming to create a dinner party atmosphere, Mine was opened in the seaside town of Falmouth.
Bell takes the very best Cornish produce and traditional British dishes, creating brand spanking new version of your favourite seasonal classics. The menu rotates weekly to reflect what local foods are available, offering up one meat, fish and vegan option for each course. You'll be chowing down on Penryn chocolate tart and brill fillet in a lemon dressing, swoon.
