Description
The town of Torquay is sat in prime location overlooking the wide sweep of bay that is Torbay; this is classic and beautiful English seaside. So what better place to enjoy some great fresh seafood?
Most of the fish is brought from the local fish market over the water in Brixham, a market which lands over 47 different species of fish daily. This market boasts most species for any market in the UK and better still some of the fish you’ll eat will be from their own boat, caught by skipper Nick, which lands everyday when the weather is amenable.
Try a piece of local hake grilled on the plancha with salsa verde or local plaice crisp fried in a Rockfish batter. Plus a great wine and drinks list with a Seafood Coast range of gin, beer and cider to boot. All main courses come with chips and you can order more chips as you please – they’re unlimited. In winter the log fire will be on to keep you warm and in summer you can sit outside on Victoria Parade and enjoy the views over the inner harbour.
