Opheem

With gorgeous golden decor, sophisticated interiors and an elevated menu of authentic Indian fare, it's no wonder that the Michelin-starred Opheem is a favourite among celebrities. Their seasonal menu changes regularly, offering five or ten tasting courses.

The Summer Row haunt was visited by Michael Bublé in 2022, when head chef Aktar Islam shut down the whole restaurant to cater for his family. He claimed to have visited 10 years before too, so it's clearly a firm favourite.

Asha's

Promising award-winning cocktails and authentic Indian fare, Asha's is a popular choice among celebrities visiting Birmingham. Both Ed Sheeran and rapper Jaykae have been spotted dining here over the last few years, as well as Tom Cruise.

Their chefs have worked at some of India's finest 5-star restaurants and hotels in the past, and their menus reflect owner Asha's upbringing. Think tandoori paneer with mustard, lamb rogan josh and a classic butter chicken - a favourite of Ed Sheeran's.

Varanasi

An opulent Indian restaurant on Broad Street, Varanasi is decked out in gold interiors, with plush seating and statues dotted around the room. Johnny Depp hired out the restaurant to dine here in 2022, and staff hear him describe his meal as the 'best curry ever'.

They've got a constantly evolving menu to choose from, featuring dishes like tandoori wild king prawn, lamb biriyani and paneer tikka masala.
