Rock Salt is a bright and airy Indian restaurant that can be found on Cotham Hill in Bristol. It brings together the flavours of India and China to create innovative dishes that'll have you drooling. The spot was founded by Harris Massey, formerly Dishoom, and Kedar Subedi of Dhamaka fame who together have over 40 years of experience. Look forward to enticing plates such as basil panner tikka, lamb biryani and stir fry pak choi paired with Indian wines.

Namak is an award-winning Indian restaurant that you need to book a table at. Upon entrance, you'll be met with vines of pretty flowers wrapping around stars, dark purple walls and elegant dark brown furnishings. The food here is prepared with some of the freshest ingredients, and made with recipes that have been perfected over the years. It's the ideal spot to warm your soul with an authentic korma or tikka masala, as well as try a high-value tasting menu for £40 per person.

It promises to transport you to the street food markets of India with its affordable and delectable grub - making it one of the best Indian restaurants in Bristol city centre.

Tuck into a classic dish of bhel puri, or try some Fenugreek-kissed fried, served with the house masala, then finish off with the creamiest, Mother Butter Chicken you ever did eat.

Old India

Old India has been standing strong for over 21 years, serving the people of Bristol some sensational Indian food. You'll find it located within the city centre, in the restored former Bristol Stock Exchange, slinging out a Moghul-inspired menu that features traditional and contemporary dishes. Sit among mahogany panelling and high ceilings as you wolf down helpings of salmon tikka, nilgiri korma, bhuna and more.

Small but mighty, the restaurant's layout contains a series of intimate booths perfect for cosying up for a multi-course meal. You'll find a wide selection of wines, spirits and beers on the drinks list for washing down butter chicken masalas, Malabar tiger prawns and mustard paneer tikka.
