Chambre 69 staff Make Do with a pop-up club

Ravers were left at a loose end in January with the (here's hoping temporary) closure of one of Glasgow's best-loved clubs Chambre 69. But the wily folk at Make Do swooped in to save the day, and indeed, the night. Some of the Chambre's resilient and enterprising team rallied the troops, and threw together Make Do, which does just that, making do until a more permanent solution can be found for the Glasgow club.

Make Do, Glasgow's newest pop-up club

Staff from Chambre 69 saved the day with their makeshift club, Make Do.

A massive two room venue at Hope Street is the new home of Chambre's banging Funktion One sound system and some of Central Glasgow's best-loved club nights and DJs. With a capacity for 600 there's plenty of elbow room, and the makeshift bar sells cans to keep punters from parching. With the usual mix of house, acid, techno plus some nu-jazz, hip hop and garage Make Do will take your Glasgow night out from the Balearics to Berlin to the Bronx and back again. Rejoice Glaswegian disconauts, your weekends have been restored.

Make Do has given a temporary home to some of Glasgow's best-loved club nights

Make Do is host to some of Chambre 69's best club nights and DJs.

Make Do is situated at 95 Hope Street and is open almost every Friday and Saturday until late. While some events are ticketed, the venue holds a limited number for the door.
