Vegan Friendly Glasgow

Haggis may be our national dish, and sporrans may be made of horse hair and otter skin, but animal rights activists, Peta, has declared Glasgow the most vegan-friendly city in the United Kingdom. Leaving the carnivorous competition in its wake, Glasgow's thriving vegan and veggie scene has won the hearts the animal-loving organisation. Peta cited bars like Stereo and Mono, among others as the driving force behind their choice, offering a great selection of vegan fare, along with organic drinks, without scrimping on quality, or hiking their prices. The 13th Note and The Bungo were also both commended for their meat-free haggis offerings in particular. As Glasgow's foodie scene grows, and initiatives like Meat Free Mondays flourish, we reckon the meatless movement in Glasgow will continue to mushroom. Pun absolutely intended.
