Tap on the Line

🐶 Bringing A Dog? 🐶

Letting in heaps of natural light through its large windows and basking in vintage interiors is the very cute, very quirky Tap on the Line. The train station pub is just shy of the famous Kew Gardens and features paintings of flowers and animals on the wall as a nod to its connections. You'll find a wonderfully tempting brunch here to give you fuel for the day ahead, as the menu includes eggs Benedict, Florentine and a full English (pork sausages, bacon, black pudding and all).

Megan's at the Old Town Hall (Richmond)

Bottomless. and 5 other offers

Decked out with twinkly lights, leafy plants and pretty blue and white tiles that transport you out of London to a Mediterranean villa, Megan's at the Old Town Hall makes a picturesque spot for brunch. You'll find a menu to match its sunny vibes, featuring a rich, tomatoey shakshouka served with organic sourdough, blueberry cheesecake pancakes topped with labneh, a cookie crumble and its famous open kebabs. Our favourite? The posh lamb doner filled with overnight braised lamb shoulder, feta and pistachios. And if you're looking for bottomless brunch, Richmond has plenty of options, but this spot might be the best as you can upgrade to free-flowing bellinis, mimosas and red or white sangria on the weekends and bank holidays for £25 each.

144 On The Hill

Afternoon tea with complimentary glass of Champagne.

Perched overlooking the city, 144 On The Hill is a pretty restaurant and bar featuring an outside terrace and pastel-coloured lounge, decorated with floral bouquets. It's an elegant place to dine from 8am onwards should you be on the lookout for a sophisticated brunch spot. Tempt your tastebuds with its signature pancake stack, drizzled in maple syrup, or the Nutella edition, plus grilled steak ciabatta served alongside a chimichurri salsa. There's also a selection of light and healthy plates should you fancy some energy-boosting food, like chia maple yoghurt and overnight oats. Enjoy all of this and more with espresso martinis, mimosas and bloody marys.

No 1 Duke Street

It's no surprise that No. 1 Duke Street knows how to whip up the best brunch in Richmond Upon Thames. The all-day restaurant bar is only moments away from the train station, sporting a gorgeous courtyard terrace, contemporary interiors and plenty of leaf foliage scattered about its dining room. Start your day by tucking into stacks of buttermilk pancakes topped with caramelised banana, salted caramel ice cream and sticky toffee sauce. Or, for the savoury fiends among you, wolf down the plant-based house breakfast featuring homemade falafels, avocado, slow-roasted tomatoes and field mushrooms.

The Orange Tree Richmond

The Orange Tree is a homely and very pretty pub that's made a name for itself in the area. It's elegant decor-central here, with little droplets of light hanging from the ceiling, olive green, wooden panelled walls and brown leather sofas. Visit for brunch with your friends and be enticed by a menu packing seasonal flavours and the best of British food. Breakfast is served between 7am and 10am from Monday to Friday, and 8am 'til 11am on weekends. Wolf down plates of eggs Florentine, crab royale made with Burford Brown eggs served on an English muffin, plus sandwiches layered with cider-battered haddock.

Peggy Jean

For the best brunch in Richmond, London it has to be at Peggy Jean, the cute, pastel parasol-adorned barge floating on the waterfront. Across three quirky decks, you'll find a sun-soaked terrace and restaurants bookable for an Australian-inspired feast first thing in the morning. Enjoy the charming atmosphere as you tuck into the likes of shakshouka, a fancy bacon roll filled with poached eggs and crispy onions (not to mention the holy f*ck hollandaise), as well as Buddha bowls and more. You can even make your experience bottomless for £49.90 per person.
