Dach & Sons is now closed
With Dach & Sons on the ground floor, a rooftop garden and the Flat P cocktail bar upstairs this groovy pleasure dome is the third venture from the Fluid Movement team, previously known for their excellence with Speakeasy bars Purl, VOC and Worship Street Whistling Shop.
This time the Fluid team went for a slice of the Big Apple for their inspiration, cooking up New York styled hot dogs as well as those delicious sliders (mini-burgers) and whiskey cocktails featuring prominently on the cocktail menu.
Upstairs features a prohibition styled cocktail bar, Flat P, passing on the mixology wisdom acquired from the likes of Purl but also tempting you to try new darlings created in collaboration with Master of Malt. They include curious concoctions such as Radiation Aged Cocktails, Grenadine Syrup, Exhaustion Tonic and Chip Pan Bitters. Flat P's interior bathes in candle light with plush blue velvet banquettes, black curtained windows and a gold-leaf ceiling dating back to the 1800s. When the bar is full the sign in the downstairs bar flares up in a red neon light: Unlucky!
What we say:
Your night out will be soundtracked by modern Electro so expect slick Meatpacking and East Village beats to continue the New York vibe. Dach and Sons will also attract the alfresco drinkers with an outdoor terrace that will be perfect for sun downers and those looking for a little bit of sunshine drinking. There is a no reservation policy so it will mean a trek up to Hampstead with the risk of a road block queue. Still you can always skulk off to one of the many gastro pubs in Hampstead. This is set to be one of the most exciting bar openings in London this year.
