Doghouse Manchester

Doghouse is certainly one of the trendiest places to grab breakfast in Manchester that's dog friendly. Make yourself at home in the cool bar-restaurant, which showcases neon signs and long wooden tables (or settle on the rooftop terrace when the weather's warm), then dig into the mouthwatering menu. Think plates like a Korean bacon sandwich, candied banana and maple syrup pancakes, the American breakfast or the croissant brunch burger.

Browns Brasserie & Bar Manchester

Not only is Browns found inside one of Manchester's most beautiful buildings, flaunting incredible high ceilings, huge windows, marble pillars and original wood panelling, but the brasserie also knows how to feed you well. Head to this York Street restaurant from 10am every day for everything from a traditional English breakfast (with vegetarian and vegan options), as well as steak and eggs, pancetta buttermilk pancakes and a luxurious lobster Benedict. So if you're looking for breakfast near Manchester Piccadilly? You know you'll be sorted here.

Served on the weekend from 9am 'til 11.30am, you can wolf down a full English for £12.95, including black pudding, hash browns and more. The Anthologist, St Peter Square

The Anthologist, from Drake & Morgan, is a beautiful cocktail bar and eatery where you can find plenty to fill up on for the day ahead. Not only can you dig into a hefty breakfast burger for £14.95, which brings together a beef patty, smashed avocado, a fried egg, bacon and smoky tomato salsa on an English muffin, but also fried chicken, which comes with a malted waffle, smashed avocado and hot honey. Plus, there are a bunch of Benedicts up for grabs, featuring buttered spinach, Tamworth ham or smoked salmon.

Cocoa Cabana Ancoats

Bringing you delicious breakfast bites from 10am every day of the week, Cocoa Cabana is the perfect place to get your morning fix. The quirky space, which blends pink velvet scalloped armchairs with floral wallpaper and marble tables, offers dishes like waffle and pancake stacks, with toppings such as Kinder Bueno, bacon and sausage, Nutella and Baileys cream and so much more. Or if you fancy something a little more savoury? We highly recommend the Cabana special Benedicts, a combo of toasted brioche, buttermilk fried chicken, a poached egg and sriracha hollandaise.

Trof Northern Quarter

Trof Northern Quarter is as quirky as can be, with vibrant wallpaper, retro Chesterfield sofas and unique artwork lining the walls. But when it comes to the menu, this place knows how to churn out the classics, whipping up full English breakfasts, brioche French toast, sausage and egg baps and so much more. With a menu like that, you can't deny that this joint slings out the best breakfast in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

There's even a crispy pork belly number paired with hash browns, fried eggs and savoy kimchi that'll be hard to pass up.

Federal, Deansgate

Federal is passionate about two things: good coffee and even better brunch. The trendy Deansgate spot (which also has a sister site in Northern Quarter) uses sustainable, ethical and local produce, delivering high-quality, fresh breakfasts to the hungry Mancunian masses. Open from 7.30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends, this handout slings out everything from healthy granola, acai bowls and toasted bagels to indulgent French toast, Turkish eggs and poached eggs on sourdough toast. Just make sure to pair your feast with one of their acclaimed coffees (or even a cocktail if you fancy something a little boozy).

The Smithfield Social

Hidden under Bluu Bar down a secret staircase, The Smithfield Social is a swish cocktail bar and restaurant that serves up a brilliant breakfast. From 9am 'til 4pm every day, you can tuck into a range of classic dishes, from free range Turkish eggs to a traditional Benedict - alongside more unique options like the matcha green tea and blueberry pancakes. And if you fancy a boozy brunch, there are ten bespoke cocktails to choose from here.

The Pen & Pencil have truly outdone themselves in the brunch department. This Northern Quarter favourite opens their doors at 10am every day, with a bunch of gorgeous dishes that you'll be thinking about for days. One of our favourites is the barbarian breakfast burrito filled with bacon, sausage, hash browns, scrambled egg, rocket and sauce, though the brie and chilli jam croissant is also perfect if you fancy something a little lighter.

The Ivy Spinningfields

You honestly can't go wrong with a trip to The Ivy Spinningfields. This absolute stunner is sure to make your jaws drop, thanks to its stylish Art Deco interiors, botanical patterns and glistening chandeliers, not to mention its skylight ceiling and luscious indoor trees.
