Evelyn's Cafe Bar

Federal, Deansgate

Federal is passionate about two things: good coffee and even better brunch. The trendy Deansgate spot (which also has a sister site in Northern Quarter) uses sustainable, ethical and local produce, delivering high-quality, fresh breakfasts to the hungry Mancunian masses.

One of our favourites is the barbarian breakfast burrito filled with bacon, sausage, hash browns, scrambled egg, rocket and sauce, though the creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough is also perfect if you fancy something a little lighter.

Ezra & Gil Peter Street

Known for having the best full English breakfast in Manchester city centre, Ezra & Gil is the Peter Street spot where morning munching reigns supreme. The laid-back space features rustic interiors and a lively atmosphere, and here's a second venue in the Northern Quarter too.

As well as a hearty fry up, you can get your hands on the likes of cinnamon brioche French toast, smashed pumpkin on sourdough toast and house-baked granola, with brunch cocktails or smoothies to wash it all down.

Trof Northern Quarter

Trof Northern Quarter is as quirky as can be, with vibrant wallpaper, retro Chesterfield sofas and unique artwork lining the walls.

From 9am 'til 4pm every day, you can tuck into a range of classic dishes, from free range Turkish eggs to a traditional Benedict - alongside more unique options like the pistachio pancakes. And if you fancy a boozy brunch, there are ten bespoke cocktails to choose from here.

Elnecot

Get on down to Elnecot in Ancoats for a stunning brunch every Saturday from 11am to 3pm. You'll find all of your favourite breakfast classics here with a few wild cards thrown in, from eggs on toast the way you like 'em to sausage sandwiches and the piece de resistance: pulled lamb shoulder with seasonal greens, mint, goat's curd, radish, rocket and poached eggs.

There's even a crispy pork belly number paired with hash browns, fried eggs and savoy kimchi that'll be hard to pass up.
