Plant-based Mancunians rejoice, as Cottonopolis has announced that its next vegan kitchen takeover will be kicking off on April 30th. This one-night only event sees head chef Joe Grant collaborating with celebrity vegetarian chef Jay Morjaria to craft a tasting menu of Korean-Japanese fusion cooking. Jay, who is the founder and executive chef of London vegetarian cooking school Sutra Kitchen, has a passion for Asian tastes and flavours that shine through each of his dishes.
The menu, which runs to a mammoth eight courses, features an intriguing and enticing array of traditional Korean and Japanese dishes, with the added bonus of being 100% vegan. Starting with a simple onion and chive maki, the dishes range from vegetable tempura, to bibimbap arancini and a miso aubergine bao, finishing on a Ying Yang Mocji of sesame mochi and chocolate doughnut.
The Vegan Kitchen Takeover with Jay Morjaria takes place from 5.30pm on the 30th of April 2018 at Cottonopolis, 16 Newton Street, Manchester, M1 2AE, and costs £40 per person.
