Sorry, the places listed below don't have online bookings available, but we hope you still find this list useful for your night out!

Goros

Inspired by Tokyo dive bars, Goros is a trendy Surry Hills hangout that also doubles as one of the best free karaoke bars in Sydney. They've got three quirky private rooms designed by local artists, with a different theme in each, and you can book an hour and 45 minutes in any of them with no charge. You won't have to miss a moment of fun to go to the bar either, as they've got an ordering app in all their rooms that lets you get drinks delivered.

They host groups of anywhere between four and 18 people at a time, and you can also take advantage of their Japanese menu - featuring teriyaki chicken, vegetable gyozas and bento boxes. And if you're in need of more entertainment? They've got pool tables and retro arcade games here as well.

Karaoke World

Established in 1994, Karaoke World is the longest-running karaoke bar in Sydney, situated on Elizabeth Street, close to Hyde Park. Not only have they got more than 120,000 songs to choose from here, but there are options in English, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian and Korean.

You can book one of 18 different private rooms for you and your friends, with prices starting from just $10 per hour if you visit between 5 and 8pm - including a complimentary drink. There are tasty pan-Asian bites such as squid rings, spring rolls and chicken wings up for grabs too, alongside delicious cocktails, wine or beer.

K-Square Karaoke

If you're looking for some of the coolest private karaoke rooms in Sydney, K-Square has got to be up there. They've got 15 different bookable spaces to choose from, all with quirky neon interiors and low lighting.

The whole venue is designed like a spaceship, with a maze of corridors to work your way around, and there's space for anywhere between two and 35 people at a time - with prices starting from $13 each per hour. Topping it all off? They've got an extensive cocktail menu, and tasty pan-Asian bites like Thai noodles or Taiwanese sausage.

Dynasty Karaoke

Looking for somewhere stylish to belt out a few tunes? Then head to Dynasty Karaoke in Chinatown. Not only is there a private room here which can fit up to 30 people at a time, with prices starting from $10 each per hour, but if you're brave enough you can take to the stage and sing in front of a crowd.

Expect trendy, neon-lit interiors filled with quirky statues and huge mirrors, alongside a wide selection of cocktails. Even better? They also serve tasty Asian bites including pork belly skewers, ramen and edamame.
